Halloween Decor
We added some new decorations this year. We expect about 200 Trick o Treaters so it is fun to go all out!

UH vs. SMU
Eric and I had some friends come into town for the UH game this past Saturday. UH pulled out a stunning victory in the last minute of the game!

Fall always brings the State Fair to Fair Park in Dallas. Here are some interesting facts about the Texas State Fair:
The fair is held at the historic Fair Park where it has been held since 1886. The 2008 fair will be from September 26 to October 19. Big Tex, a 52 ft (16 m) tall cowboy, has been the symbol of the fair since his introduction in 1952; in 1953, Big Tex's jaw was hinged, so that he appears to "speak" the announcements that promote fair events.
The State Fair of Texas is the largest state fair in the United States by annual attendance, according to industry magazine Amusement Business; although the fair no longer tracks attendance by ticket sales — the numbers always underestimated attendance due to the practice of free entry for local schoolchildren and senior citizens on certain days — the fair's past estimates by various methods consistently suggested more than 3 million people visit the fair annually.[2] Its 212-foot Texas Star Ferris wheel has been the largest in North America since it debuted in October 1985, just months short of the Texas Sesquicentennial.[3][4] As of 2003, the fair's marketing director estimated that the fair was bringing about US$350 million dollars into the Dallas economy.

My Birthday
Eric was the PERFECT husband this year and went all out for my 26th! He bought me a Nike plus system for jogging and a new Michael Kors purse. He also made reservations at the swanky Dragonfly restaurant in the Hotel Zaza and then we went to Dean Fearing's for some of his yummy Sangria. We then met up with some friends at the 80s throwback bar Barcadia. All in all, it was a GREAT birthday!
Summer Stuff
I have been sooo bad about updating this website! I usually update my Facebook page, but I like to keep up with this as well, so I am going to try to be better! Eric and I kept very busy this summer! We went to a couple of concerts, hung out with friends, took a trip to the lake, and went to Bastrop for an Arthrocare conference. We also had visits from his sisters and parents and were able to sightsee in our own city! Here's a few pics from the summer...
4th of July
We went with the Fam to the annual Arlington, TX 4th of July Parade. We took Zeus with us and I think he was a bigger hit than the parade. He was such a good boy except the marching bands scared the poo out of him!
